Improved Fuel Efficiency
Boosting your profitability is an essential step if you want to succeed. Doing this will allow you to reduce your operational costs, enhance your productivity, and grow your company. If you’re looking for ways to improve your business’s bottom line, one method is to focus on fuel efficiency.
With the Volvo EC200D, achieving this is possible. This machine has special features and a powerful engine that allows you to save money on fuel without affecting the quality of your work.
ECO Mode
The Volvo EC200D has an ECO Mode that helps it achieve outstanding fuel efficiency. It is designed with an advanced electronic pump control technology to help you avoid wasting fuel on unnecessary tasks, making it better than other brands’ eco modes. The equipment also reduces flow and pressure loss while improving pump flow control to allow you to enjoy a 5% improvement in your efficiency. All of these are possible without affecting the power of your machine so you can still maintain maximum digging and swing efficiency.
The Volvo EC200D’s ECO Mode can also be used in the G (general), H (heavy), and P (power max) work modes. This allows your operators to save fuel regardless of the task they’re handling.
Auto Idling
Keeping your excavator’s engine running even during inactivity may seem like a necessary evil. However, this practice can be costly since you’re wasting fuel even when your machine isn’t being used. You can still hike up your fuel costs even if you’re only leaving your machine idle for a few seconds.
To prevent you from accidentally leaving your excavator idle for too long, Volvo has equipped its machines with an auto idling feature. This feature helps you reduce fuel consumption by automatically shutting down the engine after five seconds of inactivity, which lowers your engine’s RPM.
Once your operator is ready to resume work, they can simply touch a joystick or foot pedal to get the excavator back to full power. The whole process is quick and easy, so you don’t have to worry about your operator’s productivity being affected.
Auto Engine Shutdown
Aside from an auto idling feature, the Volvo EC200D has an auto engine shutdown feature to further help you reduce your fuel costs. This also allows you to reduce your machine’s emissions, which can still occur when the excavator is idle.
This feature works by shutting your equipment’s engine after five minutes instead of letting it stay in idle mode. The shutdown process will initiate four minutes before your engine turns off. Your excavator will give a 60-second warning, after which your engine will switch off.
Do More With Less Fuel
Lessening your fuel costs doesn’t need to translate to poor quality of work. With the Volvo EC200D’s fuel-saving features, you won’t have to worry about rising fuel costs too much. You will still be able to complete the tasks required and complete your project efficiently without using up too much of your budget for fuel.
